I can tell a lot better if it’s going to rain where I am by checking the doppler radar map before I go out than by listening or watching the radio or TV weather reports.

Shouldn’t that tv be up against a wall or somewhere those ruffneck grandkids can’t knock it over?

Nothing wrong with the distance of the TV. There is no need to sit a foot or two from the screen. Distance is easier on the eyes. Less glare.
