Sexual harassment and assault on women is one of the rarely discussed issues within the military. I really don’t care Gen. Petraeus had an affair with a married civilian woman. Those kind of things happen all the time. It is sad and I hope he and his wife work through it. I would be much more angry and much more willing to see an officer punished who failed to protect women under his command from being attacked by fellow soldiers. I would be more willing to see brought down, the officer who through inaction, kept rapists on the battlefield while punishing women who came to their CO for help. I do have to add one comment to the statement of the soldier in the toon.In 1976, i used to go to a…(gulp)…disco…. near the Little Creek Naval station in Norfolk, Va. Dudes go for gals in uniform too. Respectfully,C.
