Maybe not so much this time. Republicans don’t seem to have making Obama a one term (or the second term equivalent) as their top priority. -It also seems like they understand that people, i.e. voters, are catching on to how destructive the obstructionist filibusters are.-But the evangelist/social conservatives have not caught on that the wealthy Repubs don’t give a whit about them, they just want to safeguard and accumulate their wealth.

I want moderate republicans back. I used to be a moderate republican until the far right “Christian” extremists took over.I’m a Christian, but The extreme opinions are not all that Christian. In fact anti-jesus actions, who threw out the money changers, feed the hungry, healed the sick, visited the prisoners, helped people freely and gave them a model and a vision of what to do, how to act. I found that the message of the democrats was much closer to what Jesus said and did.

Will the right show that they realize the American people have spoken and agree to work seriously to solve the budget problems? From their past history, I doubt it.

50.4% of Americans that live in the right places that is. And the Republicans knew where those places were just as the Democrats did. So no excuses!

Further, it certainly does not bode well for the Republicans that the demographics of those voting Democrat are increasing (women & minorities) while the demographics of the Republicans (especially the very conservative ones) are decreasing.

I know you are incensed about that, but that IS the way it is going to be, whether you (and some others) here like it or not!

According to a just released Pew poll, 51% of Americans believe we WILL go over the fiscal cliff and they blame the Republicans for it.

No, Howie, as your 8th grade teacher should have taught you, laws have to be passed by BOTH houses. Want to guess which one is preventing a Democratic president from getting the bills he wants?
