The GOP is more than prepared to be out there causing as much devastation as they can, in Congress.

Actually Hillary would’ve been a way better president than O. At least she would learn from her husband how to work with congress for the best interest of the country(or the Clintons) but not some far-left ideology about getting revenge.

Or we start selling the wellfare clans and illegals to China for use in biological research.

Classic sticking one’s head in the ground to avoid the issue. Does that actually work for ostriches? The voice from the bunker would do much better were he to leave his shelter and start writing to his politicians and newspaper. If he can afford a state of the art bunker, he might even be able to run for office and make changes himself. Hiding from problems rarely make them go away. working together with his less conservative neighbors will do more to improve his world than he might imagine.Respectfully,C.

I wish I knew to whom to attribute the tweet that said You know you are in trouble when you hear the rape guy lost and you ask Which one?All nine lost if you include Paul Ryan who kept his job as Rep but lost as VP

You stated it perfectly. The country is sharply divided and dug in hard to their respective positions. Mr. Downs is somewhat moderate but it does boil down to a “my way or no way at all,” whether politely stated or not.

Keeping PBS on the air and funding Planned Parenthood ARE big issues. Bigger yet are the next Supreme Court nominations. The Right is wrong on all three.

Mickey1339’s comment had nothing to do with Social Security. He/She was rerffering to Obamaphones, Food Stamps, Medicaid and an ever expanding Unemployment claims with no restriction on finding a job.

    Those entitlement programs.

I pass the blame where I see it. Currently, the democrats have their load and I call them on it. The Republicans of the last 12 years have a truckload of blame from my viewpoint, but I’ve not yet seen you complain about what conservatives are doing or not doing. If you haven’t seen me complaining about Democrat arrogance and culpability then you haven’t been reading me, I see this board as a place to critique a cartoon the way a book club critiques a book. It is also a way to debate ideas so each person can develop in their own minds, a way to tell legislators what we want them to do. It is a place to practice talking to people who don’t think the way we, as individuals, do. Thank you for your reply. I hope we can both become more objective and helpful to the problems before us.Respectfully,C.
