So Howie thinks we’re not spending enough money on disaster relief? That’s a significant change. Welcome to the liberal side, Howie! Government can do a lot of good, when it’s run by people who believe in a government role.
to quote Doonesbury: “it’s amazing that, a few years after the economy was brought to its knees by a gang of predatory Wall Street Plutocrats the GOP nominates (albiet reluctantly for lack of anyone more predatorial) another predatory Wall Street Plutocrat.” Best of all, he considers that to be his main selling point!
“Attended Romney/Ryan rally in Cleveland on Sunday. 25k people from the most liberal county on Ohio.”You say that as if you think the entire group resides in that one county. The location of the venue is irrelevant. You have no way of knowing how far any of them traveled to be there. If I held a rally in my neighborhood in which 100 people showed up, it still doesn’t mean that 100 residents of my neighborhood support my cause. Attendees could have come from anywhere in the city.
After “it’s the money”, not much else seems to matter. Washington represented an idea. Lincoln stood for an ideal. T.R. had money, but knew where the crooks were getting their money. Since the “Acting President” it’s all sales pitch, and don’t look in the box.
In Florida the ballot is 4 pages long. If you vote by mail it costs 65cents to mail it. I wonder how many people will stick on one stamp and get the ballot back?
“By just enough to change a close election outcome without so many as to raise suspicion by having way to many absentee ballots.”I used to be an election judge. In my state, every absentee ballot must be verified by two election judges representing differing political parties and then noted in the voter rolls. At the end of the night, the ballot count must be verified against the voter roll signatures twice. Everything is then packed into a steal box and sealed with tamper evident seals. It’s delivered to the central counting house by two election judges of differing political parties, who then must sign an affidavit attesting to the chain of custody. The count itself is open to the general public to watch. Some how, despite all of those safeguards, someone still manages to pull off electoral shenanigans. That ain’t going to be fixed with voter IDs.

Not a fan of big money deciding every election. The only winners are lobbyists and TV stations.

Obama wins, and it won’t even be close.
