    I joke to my wife about what would happen if she were abducted because of her medical history – a bone marrow transplant gave her a y-chromosome, making her genetically male, she had a hysterectomy due to the radiation, so female on the outside, but male genetics and no uterus. I imagine the alien abducter turning to his superior and saying “are you sure these things are working correctly? The readings are way off!”

    As a young boy, I once had “Puff, the Magic Dragon” stuck in my head on a three-day car trip. I had no idea of the drug overtones in the lyrics. I think I associated it more with Cecil, the Sea-sick Sea Serpent.
