Avoiding the discussion on denier ignorance isn’t best, but given the rarified atmosphere of where the Republican "arguments’ are already coming from??

Whether he likes it or not. At the very least for the sakes of our children, their children, and so on…

Debt can be dealt with, not being able to breath the air, drink the water, or live on the drought ridden land, is something else however…

It IS those things that future generations will curse this one for!!!

Like I’ve pointed out before, your sarcasm goes over the head of anyone you may be trying to influence. Are you just ranting? It doesn’t work. You have great information, but it’s not getting across. Grade: C-

Ima’s comments to Michael wme is very funny! Ima read the first and last sentences as non-snark, and didn’t read (or comprehend) the middle section, where Michael demonstrates the fact of global warming. Delicious!

Ima, who doesn’t accept the overwhelming scientific evidence support anthropogenic global warming, is commenting on it? Unbelievable.

I think your sarcasm was too subtle for some people on this list. Certainly the deniers, who seized upon your post as supporting their fact-free view!

At the risk of becoming repetitive….IF climate change is a natural cycle of sometimes catastrophic changes, andIF man is having no effect what so ever on this current cycle, I ask this question. Can’t we create jobs and develop new technologies by doing those things that would slow this cycle and make it easier for us to adapt to the changes that are coming? To use a previous analogy, if you know a huge comet/asteroid/meteor is coming, are you going to say its God’s Will? Are you going to say that throwing resources together in order to put existing technology into space to push the asteroids away is too expensive and will hurt the economy? If you know you can save the world, what would you NOT do to make a difference. One last note for my fellow faith holders out there. One of the first thing the Creator tells us to do is to be good stewards to this world and its creatures. How can you justify practices that end the existences of entire species if you hold to those beliefs?Respectfully,C.

Correct, no Planet B and if there was, unbelievably limited transportation. Look up how long it took Curiosity to travel to just Mars, one of our closest celestial neighbors.

The question “Are humans causing global warming?” – the answer is Yes, and that train has left the station. The question of “Is there anything we can do to stop it?” – the answer is No, and that train has left the station. The question now is “How is human civilization going to deal with it?” Well, that is the next generation’s problem. In the meantime, now that the polar ice has melted, oil companies are starting to drill in the Arctic. Smart folks bought ExxonMobil stock back in June. It’s gone up $14 a share since then.

We had snow 3 days last week, mid-70’s today and shirt sleeves. It DOES, as does the last three years of drought and warmest three winters in history, indicate climate is changing, and is NOT, even with the periods of droughts we’ve had in the past, taken from the “geologic” record that lasted hundreds of years, a “natural” process.

As to other things “human caused”?

Not true that no national candidate mentioned it. Jill Stein of the Green Party and Rocky Anderson of the Justice Party both discussed it in the “extended debgates” on Democracy Now, moderated by Amy Goodman on Link. They should have been on the broadcast ones, but corporate censorship and the Republicrat Debate Commission objected. Give the debates back to the League of Women Voters, who know how to run one properly. If the Republicrats boycott, so what – at least the people can hear about real choices.

Ima needs to stop listening to the propaganda and actually start reading the reports AND the analysis. TWO British government studies showed NO subterfuge or intentional cover up. It was a disagreement between scientists on the METHODS used in ONE study that was “reported” as a cover up.

No, it isn’t. And it already HAS been proven. There are other examples, in fact, e.g., Venus. Your blind, ignorant assertions are simply hilarious. Do you think you are actually making a point in a discussion? Nope. You are merely reinforcing your ignorance publicly.

Environmentalism should not be such a partisan issue. The problems of global climate change are just that — global. Whether it’s coastal flooding on the U.S. East Coats, droughts and heat waves in the Midwest, cyclones in northern Australia and droughts elsewhere Down Under, and receding ocean ice in the Arctic, these are real changes, happening much faster than ever in recorded history. The consequences of rising sea levels alone can be catastrophic, not just for New Orleans or Florida but for millions of farmers in Bangladesh. Ima, you can choose to ignore all this data at your (and our) peril, but it will be our children and grandchildren who inherit the worst of this mess.
