Hey, most organisms seem to prefer a slow death.
I once had an artist friend who left a pumpkin on the floor of his loft. The floor was slanted a bit and after six months the pumpkin slid across the loft, leaving a slime trail behind it.
He skipped the part about being pureed, baked, and consumed by the gnashing teeth of mortals. A fitting end, you would think?
This patch is not nearly sincere enough to be visited by the Great Pumpkin.
