    Replace about 60 Republicans in the House, with some with functioning brain cells, and he can.

    Actually, he did remarkably well the first time. Romney’s policies are the ones that didn’t do so well the first time, under W.

    Everyone here forgot that Obama had a Democratic Congress and Senate to work with until the 2010 midterm election? Even without opposition, he was incompetent. Placing all the blame on Congress doesn’t make much sense.

    4 years of Obama cured about half the damage Bush did, another 4 and we’ll be back to the level Bush started at, i.e. prosperity and surplus.

    Stock market back up, loan market slowly improving (while industry and banks still sit on most of their cash to make McConnell’s dream reality) troop numbers coming down in Afghanistan and Iraq, instead of up, bin Laden and many “leaders” in his organization ARE “playing with the virgins”, “Arab spring” hasn’t gone exactly as we planned, but it isn’t OURS to control, Obama isn’t chomping at the bit for war with Iran, and Israel’s “not so nuts” leaders DO see their position strong, even if they don’t get to run the U.S. as Bibi wants. The “stimulus” DID work in my community and in many others, as the funds were spread out. Obama did NOT have the majority necessary in Congress to do “everything”, as Republicans ignore both the “blue dogs” and the filibusters that prevented a lot of progress, and made Obama bend way to much to the will of the “loyal opposition” (that isn’t).

    Did Obama do, or not do, things I regret? YES! Did Boehner and McConnell keep trying to destroy America for the “party”? YES! Will MItt ever make up his mind what he really wants if he DOES get elected??? Probably not. Boehner, Cantor, and McConnell will be in charge, think about it, or if that pain is too great, don’t think at all, and vote for Mitt and Paul.

    Economy improving yes, trouble is that what so many don’t get is that Obama did nothing to aid that and in fact hindered it’s improvement. Sadly it may all be proven soon enough if he gets re-elected and actually is able to “accomplish” more of his goals.

    Without bipartisanship or a clear majority in both houses and the white house, it does not matter who wins. Perhaps, if that ends up being the result, we should just call ourselves the Republic of America, since our legislators, like too many commentators here are about as United as water and oil.Sadly, but Respectfully,C.

    @ScottPM

    Lowest increase in the national debt in over 10 years.

    More people working than when he took office.

    Social Security and Medicare not going broke.

    Better foreign policy than the previous administration.

    Why on earth would you want to return to the Bush era when all those things were worse? Does lying for Jesus make it OK?

    BTW: remember MItt himself said in one speech, at one time, that even WITH his “plan” he would take 10 years to bring the deficit down. How long is a term in office? TWO terms? Ah, yes, Mitt spends a lot of time with Disney folks, in Fantasyland.
