It was a few months after D-Day. And there I was... in Belgium. I guess I was a good shot, because I took down 50 Nazis... all by myself. That's how I got my Silver Star. Honestly, I don't consider myself a hero. I consider myself lucky.

I consider him smart. At least smart enough to not take off his helmet to see the bullet mark while the enemy is still firing at them, as the one in “Saving private Ryan” did.
