At this stage – after Mitt made a hard left turn during debate one and Barack made a hard right turn – there is really only one difference between Mitt and Barack. If you don’t see what that difference is than the message Mitt is sending is not for you, vote for Barack. If you see the difference, the message IS for you, vote for Mitt.

I support a constitutional amendment to forbid anyone from running for office or collecting money to run for office more than six weeks before an election.

Eisenhower said it would take an informed, educated electorate to stand up to the military industrial complex. It is said his draft for that speech included congress with those first two. Without educated people we cannot compete with other countries…or keep ours as great as we feel it is.Respectfully,C.

Expand the navy, reduce taxes and pay down the debt with loopholes closed over someone’s dead body. Medicare and Social Security for people now 65 or older only; what percentage of voters is that?

Saw Pete T on Jon Stewart and added his book to my Cmas wishlist. I loved his response when Stewart asked him how, considering the legendary partying of those early days, he managed to remember all of those details. If you go to the Daily show website you can find it under guests and get the extended footage. Enjoy.C.

As an aside, what do you think of Townshend’s book tour? All I’ve seen is his interview on the Daily Show, which I enjoyed immensely. The Who are most definitely among my musical heros, and for a long time, Pete has been both a fantastic musician and songwriter and one of the most articulate rock musicians around. It was great seeing his personality and sense of humor on display during the interview.
