Oh, that’s going to go over with the Education-minded folks…. but it is basically what Romney said..I’d take killing off Terrorism than killing off Educational subsidies any day. Without the Arts (including music), how can we express ourselves?

Obama had many positive accomplishments, and worked hard NOT to come off as a jerk (too hard for an American audience beaten down by Faux,Rush, and "shout ’em down ignorance to comprehend). Mitt killed lots of companies, just like he would do PBS, and our economy, and is a jerk…

So, you believe Presidential idiocy led to the deaths in Libya? Ok, you have a point. Perhaps after an investigation we can find out what kind of warnings were issued and what may have been discussed in the briefings. But how big of an idiot must a President be who ignores months of briefings about Bin Laden attacking the US, and instead focuses on how to tie Saddam Hussein into it, allowing the attacks to go ahead instead of following up on the intelligence that could have prevented the deaths of about 3,000 civilians, over 6,000 military personnel, and a few hundred thousand foreign civilians? I’m not saying Obama should be in the clear for any deaths his inaction may have caused, should that be the case, but just put it into a little perspective and see why many of us don’t trust your party yet.

Last night a representative of the Childrens’ Television Workshop publicly stated that Sesame Street makes so much money from licenses and corporate donations that they don’t need federal funding in the first place.[]As such, they’d much rather people quit bringing them up when the issue of funding for PBS is discussed.

I met a new “friend” the other day. We were both surprised by how much we had in common in our experiences, including a little “work” in Viet Nam, and working in the same National Park the same year before the military. While I"m more “political”, he totally avoids, as it brings “things” back from memory.

Part of that experience is that war is a serious issue, and that he who remains quiet, gets the job done, and survives, with a little luck.

We both find we distrust either military or political leaders who “crow” too much, as chickenhawks, and loudly proclaim their willingness to send others into risk.

Obama immediately gave the credit to those who planned and executed the raid on bin Laden, despite what Republicans now claim. I don’t like “his people” constantly touting the accomplishment now, but success was the fact.

Watching Mitt put “Big Bird” on the chopping block, I think of the more serious issue of who ELSE he’s more than willing to give the axe, so that his few friends at the top, will profit from his bravura “performances”. I’m seeing the rooster crow and beat his chest, while the sound is loud, it is also hollow.

I think the point is that with Mitt’s turn-of-phrasing, telling people that despite him liking Big Bird or Jim, he would still ax funding to them. Mitt does not seem to be aware of or care if these people get fired or lost. Nor does Mitt seem to have any reason to think any of PBS’ shows might survive, or else he wouldn’t have apologized. In other words, as the artist implies, Mitt would happily serve Big Bird’s head on a platter. Personally, I think Mitt has been around Bain and Donald Trump too much and just wanted to fire some people.

Bush getting Saddam instead of Bin Laden was like the cops telling you “well, we didn’t get the guy who raped and murdered your daughter, but we got the pot dealer on the next block, so you should thank us.” Plenty of liberals admit to that, because he got the wrong guy.

Romney wants to kill Big Bird because he wants to not give it money. I need money much more than Big Bird. Obama will not give me any money to help pay my bills. Thus, Obama wants to kill me.I would much rather Romney kill Big Bird that Obama kill me!!!
