Agreed. He had no control. He was not able to keep the candidates on subject, or to keep them to their appointed times. At the least, he could have steered them back to the original question when they constantly strayed from it….we can hope the next debate is better.

Mitt out shouted both Obama and Lehrer, but didn’t make any real points, other than reversing all of what he stood for until five minutes before the debate. So, if volume, of decibels and lies counts, Mitt did win.

Obama did do a poor job, actually, because he tried, most of the time, to actually follow the rules of the “debate”.

Lehrer also did a poor job with BOTH CANDIDATES, by not shutting them down and keeping them on track.

Poor “debate” all around. But, that has become the recent history of debates in general, and the general public hasn’t a clue how these “discussions” are supposed to be conducted.

Gee, does it have anything to do with the “shout them down” media we have today??

I think the moderator needs a buzzer to honk and cut either candidate off when they go on and on and on, or go over his time limit

Proving the old adage about a stopped clock, the Republicans won this one. The Democrats need to stop making excuses and look ahead.

We ALL lost, when the 2-faced Party (of the 1%) wrested control of debates from the League of Women Voters. They would have had other parties in, with some REAL ideas.

Gee, ya suppose large money changed hands, with the (corporate-owned) TV networks?
