I don’t blame her. I like to move as little as possible, yet in the past 10 years I’ve moved 3 times. Hopefully it’ll be another 5 before I move again - for the last time.
Ducks and geese and stuff tend to go only as far as they need to go to have open water (and sometimes even if it’s all frozen). Some will take off but many will stick around as long as they possibly can.
Made about the same comment in Birdbrains just a little bit ago. Must be duck season.
I hope never to move again. I’ve had this house for almost 12 years and lived in the last one before for more than 30. LOVE the details in this strip… nesting material, winter feathers, but are those large blue eggs in one box?? robin’s egg blue?

Put your foot down, and stay put. You have decent shelter.

the pelicans in, was it New Jersey or Maryland, were taken in by local shelters to save them from freezing.
Guess they thought they were still in NO.

Buy less stuff or just own TWO places.

That looks like “duck” tape she’s using, but where is the goose neck lamp.

Why sell the house - couldn’t they just leave decoys in it during the winter?

Moving is the pits, but sometimes we just get tired of the same surroundings and yearn for somewhere else to be. preferably with a beautiful view.

I too, wish I could go south in winter & back here MN in the summer.
The neighborhood Geese stay here - a nearby business has open water.
