While I believe global warming is a problem, this ‘toon has me shaking my head. Try figuring where you stood last year on a beach considering erosion and surf variations. I guess I just spent too much of my youth around the water to find this one any good.
In the 70’s it was going to FREEZE,in the 90’s we are going to BOIL,looks like its changing again and I seriously dought that I or any one else living or dead had anything to do with it.
Australians and New Zealanders are much more aware of climate change, AND the increase in UV damage- as in increased cancers, than the “average” U.S. citizen. But yes, they too have folks under the influence of the “ostrich effect”.
Of course anyone who’s been around an aggressive (ticked off) ostrich knows that their hiding, as opposed to taking action, is also a myth. Even ostriches aren’t as dumb as deniers.
^^ It is “denying” not “denieing”
It is “erased” not “eraised”
“That is” becomes the contraction “that’s” not “thats”
“I am” becomes the contraction “I’m” not “Im”
Four errors in two short sentences; perhaps you’re improving your ability to write English.
Being tired at night with eye strain from ,guess what ,actualy working, makes a differance in spelling and gramatic errors, My education is in a feild where it counts, money and finance. At least I wont starve with a stupid peice of paper from socialist neocons.
I now regret removing my post correcting davesmithsit’s post elsewhere as I thought I was being mean spirited. However, reading his posts these past few days makes me think he’s the mean spirited bugger.

”The only crisis is that the baffoons in charge are makeing it worse instead of better.Better to do nothing than to screw it up.”
I had said something like: ” Dave, Dave, Dave. Before criticising someone else of being a buffoon, spell it correctly. And writing “making” with an extra “e” makes it incorrectly spelt, too.
Someone said ”Better to do nothing than to screw it up.”
I suggest you follow his advice.
Meanwhile, his latest post shows 5 spellings errors and at least 5 grammatical mistakes.
Perhaps Dave’s education in money & finance might have been picked up working as an enforcer for a protection racket.
(gosh, now I am being really mean spirited! Such shame.)
^ When I first started commenting on this forum, I complained on a Views international cartoon about some posters using their local reference points to something international which had no bearing on the cartoon. I, of course, have just done the same here, in fact, local to the website. Tch, tch.

ET, the real problem is not those who ignore syntax, but facts.

I suggest that Moir is poking fun at the man in the cartoon. Whether his views or those of Moir himself are most worthy of satire is another matter….
