that’s right cd – i guess i’m always surprised when people seem so desperate to erase God and Christ from America and the world – so much energy for naught – the cartoon is about a coach with cancer for pete’s sake – about caring about a coach with cancer – good grief -
Don’t follow football, at all, but best of luck to the coach in his battle against cancer, it’s nasty.
BTW, I’ve never objected to PRIVATE prayer, after all, they occur in every school just prior to critical tests, but it is FORCING others to participate that is a Constitutional problem in the United States.
dtroutma, when are people FORCED to pray??? The atheists are going around and banning people from praying because they say it makes them uncomfortable. Well a lot of stuff liberals do and say makes me uncomfortable, but we have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc., and as much as I loathe the left and the perversion, hypocrisy and dishonesty they push, I don’t feel it’s my right to ban them from their freedoms because it’s not something I believe in, so why is it o.k. for a single atheist to ban an entire group from saying a prayer, when that atheist is in no way forced to join in praying.
That “blue horsey thing” is the Indianapolis Colt’s mascot, hon. Varvel is using it to symbolize the team spirit praying that their coach will survive whatever Cancer he has contracted..Otherwise, you’re absolutely right.
Canuck: One other thing….Cancer is serious, no matter what form it comes in. I know this as both parents have it… although right now, Dad has been in Remission for at least eight years (? I’ll have to ask him) now, while my Mother has that rare pancreatic Cancer that killed Steve Jobs. (The only reason she’s still alive now is because she went to her doctor right away.) I try to visit them at least once weekly just to see how Dad is holding up from some of the effects from the chemotherapy..So, folks – if your parents are still alive, contact them before the Debate begins & tell ’em how much you appreciate them. All it takes is three words…..

God will have to take time off from helping Tim Tebow complete his next pass to help Pagano.
