    Fireworks plus dead, dry leaves?

Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

I have never heard of fireworks on Halloween. Maybe it’s just in certain locations

Halloween is my cats’ birthday (they’re sisters) and they hate it too.

On the west coast (where Raeside lives), Halloween fireworks are a tradition. I think it was started by the large numbers of Chinese immigrants who came over during the gold rush combining eastern and western traditions.

If you own black kitties, keep them in – there are some crazies that believe in feline sacrifices.

Fireworks, firecrackers, that’s what we grew up with. Amazing I still have all my fingers. The only time of year parents would hand a book of matches and a string of firecrackers to a child. .of course firecrackers have been banned for many years. But the sparklers were fun.
