    Either way it’s a Master-Slave relationship.

Cats are indifferent co-equals who occasionally deign to be absolutely delightful company.

    It’s well worth the wait.

From a legal perspective you own the cat. However, as has been quoted so often, to a dog you’re family; to a cat you’re staff.

@JWF. VERY sad to hear the news. If it serves you to know that I made a list of favorite strips 16 years ago, and yours is #3 in my list. Plus the fact that when I started I was studying in your country, and although I returned to my country long ago, I kept loyally reading those strips for all these years through the internet (GBI = God bless internet). Anyway, I wish you the best and thank you.

The primary psychological difference between dogs and cats: you can make a dog feel guilty about things it hasn’t even done; it is not possible to make a cat feel guilty. You can make a cat scared, indignant, even bored (if you try talking discipline to it) but never guilty.

If you’ve ever had mice in you house, and you get a cat, you soon realize how valuable they are (not to mention the therapeutic effect of their purr).
