We haven’t seen Hugh in a while. I’d like to see some new strips with him in them (vs repeats).

Flyind and following two: around here at least, it’s customary for girls/women to go for a date by themselves, either to the man’s castle or another meeting place, so that they don’t disclose their own address. The goodnight kiss happens before taking the cab back home. Or they have learned to trust each other in-between.

I don’t remember Hugh but, for a first date I would say meet at the place. Sometimes if your date doesn’t go so well at least the other one won’t know where you live if they decide not to take ’no"…..you know the rest.

@ flyingairman & others…..Nah. Until you’ve gone on a few real dates, it’s always smart for a woman to take care of her own transportation. Whether the guy is a friend or not. That’s what my parents taught me, and that’s what we’re teaching our daughter. Its safer that way.

@ Havemop…just because someone is an old friend doesn’t make them automatically trustworthy. Most people behave one way with an ‘old friend’…but another with a romantic interest. You know the old saying… “Love screws everything up!”

Some very interesting comments. Recalling my own distant youth, meeting on neutral territory seems like a very good idea.

If you want to meet Hugh, go back to June 2004. He’s fun. (Don’t go to September, or you will spoil this story line, since it’s resurrected from then.)

I think Hugh should’ve picked Heart’s Mom instead of taking a taxi. If I was Hugh, I’d pick her with the fastest car in Philly! She looks smoking’ hot!!!

Really? That’s like eating your dessert first at dinner! You miss all the appetizers, the main course and sides…there were many things not-fab in the 50s…but there were MORE fabulous things than not fab. (At least in America…not hatin’, just sayin’…)
