The Israeli government values human life?? Is that why it is killing my people by the thousands ??.
Yesterday, for example the Israeli occupation army excuted six civilian Palestinians in their homes in front of their family members without a trial..and that’s a daily roteine.
Israeli soldiers are the real terrorists and their leaders are war criminals..
The simple fact that Israel in Gaza has killed 100 or more, mostly civilians, for every one of their folks lost- mostly military-indicates there may be an “imbalance”?
When Israel listens to even their own people, and starts to “play nice” instead of grabbing ever more land for themselves, they might actually deserve some respect.
It is not their nation’s existence that should be challenged, rather their nation’s PERSISTENCE in ignoring all requests from the civilized world to act responsibly.
Their “What’s mine is mine, and what’s YOURS is MINE TOO!” attitude must stop for there to be some rational end to the endless confrontation. The push to destroy Iran has little to do with U.S. interests, and much more to do with Israel’s desires.
YES! Iran’s current little twerp is a pest, but our desire to overthrow yet another government in the region for our “buddies”, is poor world politics.
It may be time to stop petting OUR puppy until it is housebroken.
And NO, my comments are NOT anti-Semitic, as Arabs are Semites also, it is just time for a nation that demands a “right to exist” recognizes the same for others.

I certainly have problems with a number of Israel’s policies. However, I have to take issue with you on Iran. The Iranian situation IS a concern for us whether or not it also happens to be in Israel’s interest. Iran is also a concern for a number of its neighbors.

“Just leave our land.” What is the “Palestinian” land? Why, everything from Gaza to the Mediterranean, of course! Who could not simply see that “Israel” needs to leave this occupied land?

I think you are overstating the protests’ threat to the current government. They may be a threat to their viewed legitimacy as a government but not their control. I have differed with you on this point before. Any sign of conciliation regarding the nuclear issue is seen as a sign of weakness in current Iranian politics.(politics not diplomacy) I am not advocating attacking Iran. It is, however, at present a medium term threat. Which brings me back to my point. It is a threat regardless of Israel’s position. It certainly is a destabilizing force in non- nuclear matters as well. BTW: The collapse of the current government wouldn’t necessarily be an immediate boon. All sorts of unforseen and unpleasant things can happen when a government collapses.

Palestinians have their own identity, their own culture, their own idiomatic expressions, their own traditions which are clearly distinguishable from other Arab nations or cultures. You dismiss them entirely.
It is the same as dismissing Native American complaints about the landgrab of the American(or were they European?) settlers and being removed to reservations because the Americas are so huge and in comparison they shouldn’t be “complaining”.

Re Shilat: His plight has been condemned as a war crime commited by the Hamas (Red Cross has no access to him etc etc etc). The retaliation of the Israelis on the Gazans has been condemned as a war crime (the UN report by Goldstone on the War in Gaza).
Neither party comes out smelling like roses and both are to be condemned.
May I also add that Palestino is actually remarkedly restrained in his attempt to show his peoples’ position here.
I only try to present facts that are intentionally hidden from the Amirecan public opinion. without drifting to dead- end discussions which SOME try to impose..
I also admire your remarkable knowledge and understanding of the situation in the middle east and it’s effects on the global peace.
