    The well has run dry and they’ll have to dig a new one. The whole point is the “HUH???” factor.

    Look up “driven pump well”. It’s basically pounding the pipe with a point attachment into soft ground (like sand), instead of drilling out a well hole.

    To me, this is like being confused about how yo put in a new lightbulb, but then I grew iup with wells.
