I remember back in Michigan you weren’t supposed to put your trash out til after 6:00 the night before garbage pick up but if we put it out a bit early no one rang our doorbell. But two days early is too soon.
there is one town near where i used to live that passed an ordinance that people had to have their trash containers away from the curb by 7 PM on the collection day or they got a $25 fine.
so what happens to those people who didn’t get home from work until 8 or 9 o’clock ?

My dumb neighbor puts his trash can out on Saturday for Monday pick-up. He says he doesn’t want to forget.

Woodeye–I have a neighbor that does that also. By pick-up day there is garbage evrywhere if it’s windy!

It’s not when the trash is put out, but what’s put out with it that gets me.
As I write this, there is a weight bench sitting in the dumpster of the complex where I live.
( Yeah, like they’ll really take THAT. )
