It's a week after baseball's All-Star Break - is your favorite team still in contention, mired in last place, or somewhere in between? Are you one of those parents who spends their summer evenings and weekends shuttling the kids from one youth league game to the next?  Maybe you're not that into baseball anymore, but the sound of a game on the radio brings back memories of summers past, when the days were long, and the home team was locked in a tight pennant race?

Like baseball and summer, baseball and comic strips just go together. Whether it's Charlie Brown getting knocked out of his shoes from a line drive, Calvin and Hobbes making up their own rules, or Non Sequitur poking fun at the sport's latest scandals, baseball has been a part of the funny pages from almost the beginning, more than any other sport.

Below are some of our favorite baseball-theme strips. There are hundreds more of them to find on GoComics as well. Play ball!
