Bailey: Maybe sports are bad. Jerome: Huh? Bailey: Maybe the problems in the world like war, pollution and celebrity crackups happen because humans are so competitive. If we weren't driven to win, win, win in sports, we wouldn't grow up wanting to be "number one" at any cost. Win, win, win, win! Why can't we just work together to build a better world, instead of crushing our "opponents"? Jerome: An uncompetitive world... that's an interesting idea, Bailey. Dee: I bet I can come up with a more interesting idea. Your idea is gonna be toast, dude!
Bailey makes a very valid point. What if we weren’t so competitive? What would be the outcome of that? Would events from the past be changed dramatically? Would people who were assassinated still be alive? We may never know. (Here are my questions for the world of the day.)
