‘Planning to foment a coup’: Legal experts say Trump pressuring DOJ shows ‘intent to overthrow government’

Legal experts are cautiously weighing in on the bombshell news out of the U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee and The New York Times revealing how the former president, Donald Trump, pressured top DOJ officials to declare the election “corrupt” and help him overturn it.

NBC News and MSNBC Legal Analyst Glenn Kirschner, a former fed prosecutor, calls Trump pressuring the DOJ “evidence of an intent to overthrow the government,” and asks what more will it take for him to be indicted.

Constitutional law scholar, University Professor Emeritus at Harvard University Laurence Tribe says this is “part of a pattern showing Trump’s criminal planning to foment a coup”.

There always seems to be a need in all of humanity to have a group of people to be a pariah. They can be by differences of skin color, religion, a tribe, or even the caste they were born into. Just so they can have someone to be better than.

Just a thought we all need to remember – even in normal circumstances we can all indeed call people of any race names. The names they were born with or that by which they want you to call them. Or especially if they have proven that they deserve to be called by another name. Like Doctor, Professor, Rabbi, Reverend, Iman, etc.

The addition of the “gopher” in the cartoon is priceless – Trump is the Ted Knight character; not the Rodney Dangerfield character, by the way.

I would LOVE to have Trump psychoanalyzed; not only is he a pathological liar and a narcissist but it is well known that, even though he is a near-scratch golfer, he cheats when he plays, which points to a deep-seated psychological lack of some kind.

We must NEVER loose sight of all of Trump’s many inadequacies, because he is still a political force for a certain segment of America, and just because they are all idiots, imbeciles and morons, that doesn’t mean that they CAN’T vote him in again.

And, if they do, that will spell the death of small “d” democracy in America – there will be no returning from four more years of the authoritarianism of Trump.
