Beto O’Rourke is a good guy and, against Ted Cruz, of course he was the better choice.
But he is trying to position himself as the next Barack Obama. Barack Obama was a truly self-made success story, who rose from humble origins and many obstacles to become the first African-American editor of the prestigious Harvard Law Review, a successful public interest lawyer, best-selling author (before he became famous in politics), PROFESSOR OF CONSTITUTIONAL LAW (University of Chicago Law School), U.S. Senator and of course President of the United States.
Beto O’Rourke is a good guy, but he is no Barack Obama.
Against Ted Cruz? Of course. Against a brilliant field of amazing Democratic superstars that include Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden and many others, he is far back in the field.
Maybe a possible consideration for V.P. or maybe down the road when he has a few more years of real experience and real achievements.
