    Please take a moment to remember and respect Justice Ginsburg, a world-class jurist and most excellent human being. Her legacy will shine bright when, in some future era, we celebrate the advent of true equality for all people.

    Captain Obvious has already noted the hypocritical reversal of the ‘respective’ Republican & Democratic positions and ‘ideals’ regarding Supreme Court vacancies. No further comment necessary.

    I’m trying really hard not to wish disaster on those who are basically celebrating her loss for their own selfish agendas, starting with McConnell, who isn’t fit to wash the feet of someone of the stature of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

    While I have disagreed with some of her decisions I have always had great admiration for RBG. I felt that she was the second best legal mind on the court after Scalia (who I also didn’t agree with all the time). But she also had the additional challenge of being a woman born in 1933 and pursuing a legal career. Then of course, is her legendary toughness in the face of multiple health issues. I most admired her ability to value her colleagues, not based on their political leanings, but on their character and legal abilities. She and Scalia, for example, held each other in very high regard and I believe cared very much for each other. RBG was genuinely grieved when Scalia passed away – like he was her brother. RBG was even brave enough to be complimentary of Kavanaugh once he was on the court for a while and she saw him as he was and not how some people have portrayed him. In short, she put people before politics. God speed, RBG!

    She will be be the standard for women’s rights to hopefully inspire a new generation of feminists in the future. We have lost a great legal mind as well as a staunch defender of the Constitution, and we have lost a hero in the ongoing battle for women’s rights. R. I. P. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, you will be sorely missed. You will be remembered.

    When I saw this news, my heart sank and my stomach twisted. Will the Repuglicons honor her wishes for her vacant judicial seat, to leave her replacement appointment until the new president is sworn in?… no…I don’t think so….I think Moscow Mitch will try to jam one of their rightwing nominees through by October 31…but if mcTurtle does that, then he shows how hypocritical his policies truly are? Will it make the election turn into a battle over judicial nominees instead of the dRumpth’s failures as a leader?

    VOTE BLUE NOV 3!!! OUR FUTURE AS A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC DEPENDS ON OUR ABILITY TO “CHOOSE”, TO VOTE. TO STOP THE CORRUPTION OF THIS MALADMINISTRATION!!!

    She could have chosen her own replacement by retiring under Obama.

    This passing of the great notorious RBG really shows the ‘black and white’ of US politics… Listen to any news network, and they are discussing the ethics of replacing her more than honoring her. Much more interesting following your politics as you were once considered a world leader, and it’s about ‘good guys vs bad guys’ – - and which is which depends on your biases.

    This lady stood for equal rights for all -truly a small person GIANT!

    You guys are screwed. They’re going to rush in an anti-choice, white supremacist tool of the 1%. The constitution will be twisted or even ignored as the court automatically favors the rich in every decision. It may even be instrumental in flipping a bunch of elections in November. It was nice knowing you.

    From the heights of our CONSTITUTION’S ascent as a beacon of democracy to the gutters of DICK-TATER-CHIP with THE ORANGE PARASITE’S nominee, Ted Cruddy Cruz. My how our country has fallen. America, when we will see you again? Rest In Peace RBG. )<:}

    I’m fairly sure Clay did this toon 5 years ago with a blank died date..just fill in the blank. RBG hung on as for as long as She could, yet here we are. Trump will have 3 SCOTUS appointments in one term, what will He get done in another term ? Historic opportunity brought to America by the Democrat Parties choice of candidates. Is it true Mrs. Biden revealed Uncle Joe has had two strokes already ? explains so much..Burning Toast

    We mourn the passing of a irreplaceable iconic woman on the Supreme Court. We also mourn the passing of a great democracy.

    Trump, McConnell and some other republicans are in a rush to fill the seat she has left with someone who will protect them from Justice when their fates appear before the Court.

    Let’s run it up the flag pole and see how many salute it before we nominate a replacement for Ruth Bader Ginsberg. It’s an election year – Moscow Mitch and Traitor Trump. . . . /s

    I have nothing but the greatest respect for RBG. And, I know it is crude and disrespectful, but does anyone know a good taxidermist who could prop her up in the chair at the Supreme Court until February?
