Capitalist want a larger third world country, so they focused on home, sold U.S. workers jobs to foreign countries; and now want the poor and lower middle class to self-implode so they can go back to corporate towns and no health insurance or other benefits for the workers. Can’t have people focused so blame everything on minorities and let stupidity reign
Right.. in America certain persons are free to break the law. Common law inherited from old England where kings and such could do what they want with no consequences.
If Bragg continues with this abuse of power, he’s likely to be disbarred. He’s at odds with other attorneys in his department and he’s postponed his grand jury from meeting two days and cannot reconvene until Monday.
We aren’t nationalizing the banks. We are socializing their losses while they keep the profits private.
If we were nationalizing the banks the taxpayer would reap the profits of the organization.
I think that we should have kept to the policies of the FDIC and only guaranteed the first 250 k of deposits but we know the governments is by of and for the wealthy even the Dems are beholden to the modern robber barons. The Venture capitalists created the run on SVB, demanded they get their money at taxpayer expense all while demanding that government stay out of their business
It’s not a banana republic if you apply the rule of law equally to all citizens, including former heads of state. Now, if you allow a head of state to get away with serious crimes, then you might be a banana republic.

Looks like Chip Bok is the one that’s late for Trump’s “arrest”. Trump said it was going to happen two days before this cartoon.

And yet, if we hadn’t rescued the banks you would be criticizing her for that.

It seems like in the past we shored up the banks, not the depositors.

Making leaders face responsibility for their misdeeds doesn’t make this a banana republic.
