Cathy: Now what, mom? Mom: I didn't speak. I didn't look. Didn't glance. Didn't gesture. Didn't fidget. Didn't sigh. Cathy: But you worked so hard to stifle the impulse to do those things that the air particles around your head vibrated and made me all jumpy and defensive! Dad: Incredible. Mom: I know. Do I criticize the ridiculous accusation or compliment her keen observational skills?
This one reminds me of when I was teaching Jr to drive. She was so used to me saying something that out of the blue, she said, “What now???” I replied that I was only breathing, it wasn’t a sigh, and she just needed to focus on her driving and not any little thing that I may or may not do. Sometimes things just happen, like breathing.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!
