Cathy: I thought we were toning it down this year. Saleswoman: Hoo, boy...NO! "Toning it down" was the look of LAST decade's recession! Remember the beige years? THIS decade's recession is all about hot hues, haute glam and sky high heels! Cathy: This has nothing to do with our economic times! Saleswoman: Exactly! Matching was so 1991!

I sort of recall that there are fashions to either try to make us feel better about being unemployed or about the shaky state of the world, or to excite us about the economy getting better, but I don’t know of anyone who followed those “trends.” Most of us are just trying to do the best we can with what we’ve got, and don’t really care about all that.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! We are in the mountains for a getaway. It’s a nice introduction to fall with cooler temps and fresh air. Have a great day, all!

HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
