Mr. Pinkley: I could improve the quality of my life my getting a giant raise! Mr. Pinkley: Honestly...some people and their warped values...
Cathy’s not lying. Sometimes, we need more money, because we need money to pay for our room and board. We need money to put aside for medical emergencies, car repairs, and bills. And yes, a little money left over for fun things.
Honestly, Cathy does a lot of work for the company, mostly because you think, that because she lives with no one but her dog, she has nothing better to do than work late and into what’s supposed to be her “free time.” So give her a raise. Promote her. And make sure she only gets the amount of work she can handle between 9 AM and 5 PM (Minus 60-90 minutes for lunch), and the amount of work she can handle without damaging her mental health.
