Yep. One person up against a corporate entity. Guess who wins. Mind you, you CAN make a living driving for Uber… IF you work it right, live where people want the service, already own an inexpensive vehicle, have a spouse who can keep you health-insured…

He too made the point that “lease to own” your own truck while working for the company you’re leasing it from seldom works well for the driver.

I thought about doing that, but the competition is too great.

The Uber drivers not making money are those that signed up to predatory loans to buy a car to become an Uber driver. So they are basically not making enough money to pay off their loan rather than making a loss on driving.
