You can’t justify your own behavior by pointing to the behavior of others.

We have reached a tipping point when we rate an office holder: “Well, he’s bad, but he isn’t as bad as the last one”

Good strip if you like half truths. For the record bush did take more vacations than obama. What he didn’t say, is that they were mostly to his ranch or camp david. therefore, they did not cost us thousands of dollars.

Which do you prefer to pay for??

Don’t forget Reagan’s. But not much you can do when 40% of folks supposedly think Obam-ney Care has “Death Panels”! Bad enough to be stupid, then you pile on rednecks, and folks who think that God wrote the Bible in English, and Jesus spoke English. Likes of FOX haven’t been seen since the NAZI Ministry of Propaganda, people should do what Reagan said to do “…verify.”

“I’m already ready to hate the haters for the next President.”Ah, the old “infinite images in parallel mirrors” trick. I’m getting ready to hate the haters of the haters.

@T Smith , conversely, you can’t remain silent or support the same actions when done by your politician. We have become a nation of finger pointers when dealing with any opposition rather than actually trying to reach some accord related to the actions of government. I feel like I am listening to children bicker over who did what. Past is past, learn from it or repeat it, your choice

Hypocrisy sits easy in the right wing’s heart (I’m not going to call them Republicans). In fact, it seems to be encouraged.

If we really cared about “monsters”, we’d have take out the current Assad’s FATHER, three or more decades ago!

I’ve been opposed to our intervention around the world for a long time, and have been just as critical of Obama as any other who’ve abused US power, and kept the MIC profitable for all the wrong reasons, BUT:

The simple fact is, the Obama haters and “birthers” would have had a much easier time making their REAL point, if Obama’s father had been from Niger instead of Kenya!!

But here’s a thought:*When Iraq used chemical warfare against Iran, we didn’t object. When Iraq used chemical warfare against the Kurds, we didn’t object. So we wrongfully believed they had some stockpiled & wrongfully went to war with them when they did not.*If we do NOT bomb Syria now when it has used chemical warfare, will we be repeating the Iraq experience?*(For the record, we aren’t the world’s cop & we shouldn’t bomb unless there are a number of other countries also bombing.)

How about the United Arab Emirate countries who we have sold to or given all of those high tech expensive weapons, clean up their own back yard problems for once.

good strip that too many people seem to be missing—first point: You are hypocrite if you praised Bush and now condemn Obama for doing the same things.second point: I am lost, since I despised Bush and his cronies and worked to get someone better and different—only to get another “Bush”

“My next door neighbor is the one with the glasses. The other one is me. This conversation really happened. "-You mean Darrin was spying on you too? I thought he was spying on ME and MY conversations.-Actually, I’ve never tried to justify current deeds by past misdeeds. My main thought is WHAT WILL WE ACCOMPLISH?-Who will we kill to respond to the killing?Who will our actions help?Who will our actions hurt?-Of course, the comic strip above is not about possible future actions but past actions, things President Obama has already done.-It isn’t about the fact that he wants Congress to authorize him to commit acts of war against Syria.

Quoting The Who: “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”

NEITHER party holds most of the answers. And too often BOTH parties are heavily influenced by the corporations that do things that undermine the country. The sniping in the comments just goes to show how blinded people are to the bigger problems, and how manipulated they are by the party “message.”

If you actually check it, Obama took far more vacations in five years in office than Bush did in eight. That having been said, the fact of the matter is that no matter who is the president, the job never leaves you; even when you’re not at the White House, you’re on the job 24/7. When was the last time Barry got to go to one of his kid’s recitals or whatever?
