Lemont: I need a narrator. Susan: A what? Lemont: A narrator y'know, like in novels or comic books. The narrator keeps otherwise random events from becoming confusing he fills in gaps in continuity and gives the story a sense of cohesion. He's omniscient. He knows right from wrong. He gives meaning to the lives of the characters. Life would make so much more sense if I had my own narrator. Susan: ...He said, as Susan thumbed through the yellow pages for "sanitarium." Lemont: Exactly!
