Hobbes, you shouldn’t question how great minds work.

Maybe they’re having fish for dinner? That’s also good for the brain.

Pretending to be a Saudi ambassador, Calvin? Or just a massive headache?

He could say he’s decided to be a Hindu or a Sikh.

Yeah, my diminutive brain says, “That’s not going to work”…..

This is getting like the time when Hobbes cut Calvin’s hair and made a real mess of it. Calvin tried to hide it by wearing a hat which led to his first Tracer Bullet fantasy within a longer story arc. Tracer Bullet would be revived for two later story arcs.

can you imagine what it must be like to have a kid that shows up for breakfast with a sheet wrapped his head?! and every day it’s a new surprise?!

So…Calvin’s now a “towel head”???

A larger second mess up might hide the first but not likely with Mom.

He’ll have everything wrapped up in no time and his parents won’t mind.

I just had a “Flowers for Algernon” moment here…

His powerful brains knows that his parents do not really want to know what Calvin has been up to.

Calvin is a stable genius. Everything he knows is something nobody knows.

Hobbes knows Calvin is still as dumb as ever. He is just humoring him.

What’s the big fuss about this? Calvin has had a swelled head for s long time. His ego knows no bounds.

Ah, the old trope of conveying that a character has had a sudden boost to his or her intelligence by using slightly more sophisticated words. Given that Calvin already has a precocious vocabulary, it’s even less impressive here than usual.

If he put his pants and shirt on backwards, it would distract attention from the head.

Yeah, back when “dilemma” was often used as part of stereotypical “genius” lingo.
