Should also ask for a sauna and a hot tub.
You’ll need skis first.
climbing a hill for sledding — dare I say it? — builds character
Those thoughts being the materials needed, the number of hours appropriate each day to work on it, the costs, the advantages, the disadvantages and how Calvin could possibly ruin it all which ultimately leads up to the answer being a big fat “NO!”
Looks like it’s all downhill from here.
Hmmmmmm…. Ease of use against Builds Character, no contest.
The very best thing about sledding is that the kids come in from it all worn out. And they actually WANT to take a warm bath and then eat warm soup (at least as long as it avoids eggplant). win-win-win
Are Dad’s the bureaucrats in a family, or is it the Moms’ ?
Is it true that chickens come from egg plants?
Unlike yesterday Calvin took off his boots before traipsing around the house. There’s hope for him yet.
Would you consider a tiger powered towrope?
Looks like dad has slipped further in the polls that Calvin conducts. BTW what happened to Hobbes?
In fact, those are the plans he’s going over one last time, Cal! :D
It doesn’t seem Dad is really interested in this project!!
Get a horse, Calvin (or maybe, a reindeer?)!!
Dad has made plans to pull Calvin uphill himself.
Our farm had no hills for sledding. i had to wait until the snow built up enough that i could walk up the snowbank onto the barn roof, and then sled off the roof. God forbid i aimed for a spot where the snow bank didn’t quite meet the barn.
“So you’re saying there’s a chance?” ~Lloyd “Dumb and Dumber”
“And the answer is still NO!”
I had a sled hill near home where a farmer ran a rope from a tree pully wheel at the bottom of the hill to a tractor wheel at the top. We used the rope to pull us on our sleds back up the hill. It was great. The law made him stop. Some crap about safety and liability and such.
This is why Dad always polls so poorly.
You have a backyard when you can toboggan??? A kid’s dream.
“I think about it every time I need a good laugh.”
Time to wind up the “Sarcasmatron”.
A long time ago (why do all my comments start with this?) I had a chance to rent an apartment close to a ski area. The agent said she really wanted to rent the place to a man because “there is some snow shoveling involved” I was insulted and told her I was perfectly able to shovel snow. “I’m sure you are, dear”, she said, “but can you throw it over your head?” I found another place to rent.
It appears that Dad has heard that request enough, that he’s just going to let it slide.
JOIN S. F. A. S. (Stop Furries And Simps)
Just turn the backyard into a luge track
Oh yeah, promise them anything, but give them the slight.
who needs a ski lift? an elevator would work great!
Given about as much thought to it as he has to having more kids.
Honestly that’s valid.
Not for a j-bar lift! Hook the sled right up to that bad boy!
The expense of installing the lift do not even out the consequences, hence it stays that way, Calvin.
Can’t you tell Calvin?
