I never got that one. Why “Hobs crk?” Could they mean Roy Hobbs or Walter Hobbs or someone like that?

The lack of education Calvin deals with is astounding. Not only is Hobbes a poor speller, his parents are so stupid they can’t even say their own names!

Plot twist: Hobbes knows how to spell, he just shortened it so it would fit on the sign

Just replace “creek” with “and” and stick it on top!

I used to play in a creek when I was a kid. Now I wish I had put up a sign.

Always thought it was odd that Hobbes was a poor speller. Funny, though.

There is a Hobbs Brook in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Now I know how it was named.

I thought Hobbes was smarter than how his sign is spelled.
