He can always go into politics.
A real dad would tell Calvin which pitch is coming before it comes.
Not really often that anyone doesn’t worry about Calvin.
some father/son time, huh?
You can never not be enough worried about Calvin if you are his parent.
Hitting a baseball is more difficult when you only have four bases and no charging tiger to worry about.
He’s only six, Dad. How about you actually help him instead of just “worrying”? Oh, that’s right, you’re no athlete yourself.
Calvin has shown repeatedly that he has no athletic ability at all. That helps explain why he never plays with other kids.
His tennis serve looks much the same.
So what, Dad? Calvin hasn’t yet tried hockey. He can’t do that one on his own.
He’d be a lot better if it were Calvinball!
That was me too. And the same thing happened when I tried to serve a tennis ball.
Don’t be so hard on him , Dad. It’s tough to hit when you throw yourself a knuckleball.
I never could hit a ball like that either. I went into IT. Never threw a ball like that again that a dog didn’t bring back.
have him use a water balloon, Calvin’s better at throwing those
But he is gonna look great with a black t-shirt, blue hair and awesome computer gamer skills
He’s good with tigers. Maybe he’ll become another Joe Exotic.
Fortunately for me, I was a better student in those days. I couldn’t hit anything either.
He’ll grow up and become a cartoonist, drawing a strip based on his childhood memories of himself and his tiger.
Retirement is just going to have to be savings and social security. No multi-year major league contract in sight.
In his younger days, my Dad was a halfway decent golfer (10 handicap) and a pretty good bowler. I wish that I’d inherited more of his athletic ability. For bowling anyway, I blame the aliens. I can see their space pods in the bowling alley lot, disguised as SUVs and Honda Civics. They can’t fool me.
Love this toon
“If he WERE a better student.” Now we see where Calvin gets his low grammar grades.
Blame the teachers (Dad!).
He could turn out to be successful in either extreme sports or on Jackass
Since we’re talking education here, the proper usage would be, “if he were a better student.”
Calvin will be a creative type, probably a science fiction and fantasy writer.
If you care about him at all, you’ll have his vision checked. (Corrected vision can make all the difference in the world for a child’s self-image and development … even if they do get called “four eyes” for it.)
I was a decent ballplayer, but I could not throw a ball up and hit it to save my life.
yeah because if he was a great athlete the school would concentrate on hiim winning chanpionships for them and forget about his academics. you can’t buy food with trophys.
He’s going to be a Sci Fi writer at least.
Ahh, but look at that imagination — He can be anything!
Well, the Dad should remember that time earlier this year he tried to teach Calvin baseball and accidentally hit Calvin in the nose with the ball. (“By ode dad id tryig to GILL me! Ib not playid badeball eddy more! Nebber again! I HADE it!”)
