the homework… uh-oh

Why do you bother asking, miss Wormwood?

Most people’s idea of heaven is so boring, I hope there are yo-yos there. Not that I’m really worried about getting there.

Quick thinking by Mrs. (Ms.?) Wormwood! Although I think the quality of the presentation should more than make up for the missing homework

Heh. Just yesterday someone commented that they found an old yo-yo, but they hadn’t seen anyone playing with one in a long time. I think Coca-Cola tended to revive them every ten years or so, but they must be overdue now.

Calvin’s homework effort is like a yo-yo. It starts out at the top ( his dread of doing it) and drops down (realisation of the difficulty) and the best he can achieve is “walking the dog”

Well done Calvin. If you don’t have anything in particular for the "show’ then, at least, he has an entertaining “tell”. That’s a pretty good hook in the entertainment industry.

He gets an A for ingenuity but likely will get detention for neglecting his homework.

Once again Calvin’s overactive imagination is in overdrive.

Wormwood is the prime ingredient in absinthe. Wormwood contains thujone, an hallucinogenic that can be toxic.

If only Calvin put as much energy into his homework as he did his delusions.

I’ve always wondered about the Afterlife. If I die and I’m blessed with the Knowledge of Everything, how will I be able to enjoy HBO?

I think I had that teacher too. Ms. Frumster. She said she came from a long line of single older ladies that wore thick glasses and put up with kids like Calvin and I. She taught in the same school for 100 years, I believe. Finally died of smartykiditus. Sad day for the school to be sure.

Even if you believe in an afterlife, that doesn’t make any sense.
