There will be bigger disappointments in the future.
It takes more to excite today’s children (and this was what, 20 years ago?
Try seeing how big you can blow a bubble, Calvin.
My granddaughter (and her dog) still loves these.
Where has all the wonder gone?
A “wheeee” right back at you Calvin!
It’s all in the technique, Calvin.
So you’re doing sound effects for those who can’t. Don’t you think Whee is sort of wrong for a bubble popping?
Blow one big enough and you may well find yourself in the air again..
Whee? Now that was just too much excitement for one day. How does he do it?
Today, I’m sure that “there’s an app for that”. Maybe that’s what everybody’s looking at when they’re staring at their phones while sitting, walking and driving.
Bubbles don’t create enough havoc for Calvin!
DT do it every day.
Some day’s plans just fizzle :(
That whee should lead a question mark
Oh you’ll still do it over and over again, Calvin.
Try the bigger wands, Calvin – your imagination can run amok…
Gained and quickly burst!
Calvin: Rats, there goes my bubble for today.
There are more bubbles to be blown, Calvin. See how many you can blow in one breath, see how big a bubble you can blow, blow them in the wind, then chase them and pop them, put bubble solution in a wide, shallow container and use big bubble wands…better yet, play with someone else! Get your mom and dad out there! Or maybe even – dare I say – SUSIE!!!
Anticipation occasionally exceeds the actual event.
Wait until next winter when it is five degrees out. Last a lot longer.
I can’t blame you Calvin for being underwhelmed, the bubble you were blowing in the first panel was at least 2x as big as it ended up being in the second panel and that pathetic little pop didn’t, impress either.
