Waiting for understanding!
A salute clavin’s dad, to explain things the way Calvin understands!
It’s easier to believe in something that’s silly, rather than question it.
Doesn’t wind come from wind farms?
At this point Calvin’s mom would be saying from the side, “Dear.”
complicated = I don’t really know.
That must mean Calvin’s dad doesn’t know what causes wind. Lol
God bless you, trees!
Let’s not get behind in this arc…
where are they running…….?
Dad could have also told Calvin “They Call The Wind Maria”.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02Mh3DNaXDw
Beans does it for me.
I just snorted my coffee!
I’m going to remember that one for when the grandkids get to that asking stage.
Sounds good to me.
“It’s an ill wind that blows no good.”It’s an ill tree that sneezes no good.
I’m surprised to see Dad actually admitting that what he said first wasn’t true. Usually he just keeps embellishing his story.
Someone told me they thought that trees waving their branches caused the wind-
Reminds me of a similar Peanuts strip: Box 1: Linus asks Lucy, “Why is the sky blue?” Box 2: Lucy relies acidly: “BECAUSE IT ISN’T GREEN!!” sending Linus and his blanket tumbling over backward. Box 3: Lucy stomps away in disgust. Box 4: Linus breaks the fourth wall saying—“That just shows how stupid I am. . . I thought there might be a more complicated reason. . .”
What’s complicated about beans or melted cabbage?
It’s not trees sneezing! They’re waving their branches to make the wind!
I’m just glad wind is not caused by trees farting.
What causes wind? Trees sneezing? … I thought it was blowhard politicians.
The trees are sneezing! How cute!
You mean wind is not caused by trees sneezing? Why didn’t anyone tell me this before?
my wife says I’m the wind beneath her sheets
Calvin should ask Lucy van Pelt; she always has an explanation, regardless of her ignorance.
I like that.My Grandmother would tell me when ever there was thunder and lightning that it was the dump truck dumping fire wood next door.I was about 7 and helping the old man next door pile his wood meant goodies .To this day thunder dose not scare me.
At least he admitted it’s not the truth this time.
Does Treebeard sneeze?
Q: What causes wind?A: Eating beans or any other gaseous foods
I wish they would cover their mouths!
@Popeyes4arm,“Three sheets to the wind”
I don’t like Calvin’s dad, this is one of the reasons that he’s not doing good in school (plus being hyper, possible adhd, etc…) Calvin probably thinks that no adult will give him the straight answers, even the teachers, so why listen to them in the first place? (Thank God we had an encyclopedia set at my house, or I would have ended up like Calvin!)
