I remember when I was in I think 3rd grade. I drew a dinosaur on the front page of my notebook, because I was bored. My teacher got kind of angry at me though. I didn’t actually start caring about my grades until I started 4th. So, now I’m a good student. : )
Ok…I don’t know car racing because watching cars run around in circles for hours is what I call “Nap time”. So, please consider that it’s the thought that counts.
“my youngest used to draw those types of pictures in the first grade (in his note books) … his teacher thought they were brilliant (it’s nice when someone else thinks your kid is cool) LOL”
+++++
Sadly, nowadays that sort of picture is more often seen as violating some sort of rule, against weapons, or as an indication that the kid in question is seriously disturbed and in need of intervention.
@cookies333,To get you started in the new school year (if you haven’t already), it’s you’re an artist, not your an artist. It’s a very common mistake. No criticism is intended. Enjoy school and make the most of it! Have a great time! :o)
What began as jokes based on the comic has resulted in a PC-lecture from Dogsniff…a symptom? It was a joke and no one seemed hurt by it…are you okay? Who are you and what did those doctors do with the real Dogsniff!?!
@Vonne Anton: The real Dogsniff is hidden underneath the Dogsniff that you usually read on these pages, and it can take people a long time to figure that out. He’s very human, he’s multidimensional, and he’s a great guy.

If Calvin is a genius, he shouldn’t have dangled that participle.

Why not Chicago???? There’s a city I’ve wanted to fall off into Lake Michigan for years. And I moved to Indiana to get away from that dump.

Strange to see what Calvin says in panel two. I figure it’s a direct quote from Hobbes, though, and maybe he doesn’t mind the plagiarism.
