@Vinobbes: Also, sometimes a comment doesn’t make sense because it is responding to a previous comment that has been deleted. That especially happens when a discussion heads into the murky waters of politics, where occasionally several comments get deleted and then nothing seems to make any sense. But then, perhaps that is symbolic of our politics these days…..
It’s Calvin’s nature to say whatever he thinks will get him what he wants. Poor Calvin it didn’t work this time and probably next time. Good try though. Keep up the good work it is very humorous.
@Number Two: No, I’m not in charge, although I do sometimes win the “most comments per day on Calvin and Hobbes” contest.I’m not sure about the “what,” but I can answer the “who.” Dogsniff was a commentator on GoComics who sometimes wrote some hilarious one-liners. Amen. My father hasn’t used tobacco in decades, but he did chew for years after getting off cigarettes. Take the kid out for pizza, let him fill up, then send him outside with a child-sized plug of Levi Garrett- presto, one kid insulated from tobacco chewing, for life! I could swear they did this to Calvin with cigarettes, once… maybe some other cartoon?

You’re too kind to Hobbes to be a psychopath.

And we wonder why some species eat their young. Dad is incredibly patient; it’s amazing that he hasn’t committed infanticide (yet).

INGSOC, are you watching?

“There on the ‘brink’ of love I kissed her” Calvin might become an incurable romantic and osculate Susie!

It is very hard to remember, but I think there was a time when I didn’t want to sleep. Very, very long time ago.

They already are sorry. You don’t need to remind them.

“Osculate”? I’m more impressed with the ancient song reference.“Where the gauchos ride their pintos…”

“Congress seems to believe that ‘Children are our future’ is a phrase coined by tobacco advertisers”. – J.I. Richards

Such an adorable little psychopath, you got to love him!!
Vinobbes about 11 years ago
What am I missing, I don’t get the osculate and kissing comments. It’s like some of us are looking at a different comic strip than others

Giving a child a Ouija board for Christmas is much more apt to make him a psychopath than a reasonable bedtime.
BanjinTsuki about 11 years ago
Calvin, you are already a psychopath!

Calvin’s dad looks like a talking head in this strip.

I believe that Norman Bates got regular sleep, and look how well he turned out.

At this point, Calvin is well beyond the brink and is now flying through the air, metaphorically speaking….
Gretchen's Mom about 11 years ago
Calvin should take advantage of a “reasonable” bedtime while he can because a good night’s sleep can be really hard to come by once you grow up!
bmonk about 11 years ago
Does any psychopath come about by being reasonable? Calvin is practicing a rather fuzzy form of logic here.

And here is the last known photo of Dogsniff. He bears a slight resemblance to Frank Zappa:

Mark it on a calendar somewhere. Hobbes (TPPC) says he’s not in charge here. What an ego. It gives meaning to his life to have others think so.
