Centaurs are cool. Calvin centaur-no words can describe it.

Actually, shouldn’t it be larger than life-sized to be impressive?

I can see it now…….. The five horsemen of the apocalypse………War, Famine, Pestilence, Death, and Big Snowballs Raining Down On Innocent People Walking Under Trees.

Hmm, will it occur to him that he might get more clay if he digs up the back yard?

I can already ‘See’ the statue ! I am sure dad wont grudge a little bit more clay to have it completed.

Probably Dad sometimes wishes Calvin were a statue.

It’s a good thing professional sculptors don’t shop at Toys-R-US, the cost to city budgets for those ‘works of art’ that decorate every other street corner would be even more exorbitant! ^_^

Calvin’s finished article will probably have the horse rearing up on it’s hind legs with Dad cowering on the ground while looking up in fear below the front legs.

Interesting that Hobbes’ first thought, picturing Calvin on a horse, is of the apocalypse!

Calvin, you will also need a large purchase of bronze for your final casting, or marble. Best to get dad’s credit card when he’s taking a nap.

With Calvin’s self confidence and ego, any statue he would create of himself would equal or even exceed anything Moammar Gadhafi has had created to honor himself.

If Calvin is to be the Horseman of Chaos, suggest the horse be painted a nice, bright orange paisley….

And then when your mom walks in Calvin, you can make up that you have to do this horse statue for a school assignment.

All of this talk of horseman makes me think of this

We never limited ourselves to one such creation–which is why our clay didn’t seem to stay in any one shape very long.

Hobbes may be Calvin’s best friend but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’d be willing to share statue space with him!

That’s more like 500 lawyers under the sea. A good start, but there’s a lot more to go.
