Aliens have already infiltrated Southern California. They’re inhabiting Los Angeles (better known as L.A. which makes them L.A.-ens).

I think Congress is living proof that aliens have infiltrated the highest levels of government. After all, they don’t seem to live on the same planet at the rest of the American people.

It could be worse. As Calvin and Hobbes discovered (and for that matter, the inhabitants of Pandora), *we* could be the space aliens infiltrating something or other. Some of the best sci-fi (both funny and serious) starts from that premise.

In truth, if aliens from another planet observed humans on Earth, they’d run like hell and warn all other intelligent life forms to stay away. We probably have a universal quarantine around us and don’t know it.

Aliens have taken over the government? Calvin is revealed at last as a tea-bagging Republican. A real cartoon character. The only difference is that Calvin is funny instead of demented.

When this strip first ran in 1988, my favorite TV show at the time was “War of the Worlds” (The first season of which is available on DVD). Aliens were sure infiltrating us in that show!

“Aliens in the highest level of our government” would explain the thought pattern reflected in “It’s never worked before, so why wouldn’t it work this time.”

If uncaring is the opposite of love, it is also the opposite of hate. That doesn’t make sense to me. Uncaring is indifference. It’s neutral between love and hate. It has no feelings one way or the other.

It’s interesting that someone added the ranking House and Senate Republicans to the tags, even though they’re nowhere close to the top 18 in the line of succession to the Presidency. Funny what passes for “top levels of government” these days.

    Ninmas,

Your “noodles incident” theory may be the real thing or may be bogus. Who knows? Who cares?

The genius of Bill Waterson is that there are as many “noodle incidents” as there are Calvin and Hobbes fans.

Bill Waterson probably never fully conceptualized the “noodles incident”, he left it floating in the air. He will never publish it under any circumstance…

It would lose its magic quality if he did.

So, who cares about your “noodles incident” theory? I have mine, and each one of us has his/hers.

Stop whinning and asking for attention, you spoiled selfish brat!

mexdr1958: it was just my theory. it isn’t the noodle incident, and everyone has their own theory, i was just expressing my thoughts. but you have no right to call me a “spoiled selfish brat” just because i made an assumption. i just thought it would be cool if we all shared our theory just for fun. i realize the whole thing is a mystery, just trying to unearth it.
