I have a sneaking suspicion that “poor Dad” was just like Calvin at that age… and, in the same way, Calvin will get what’s coming to him when he has his own kids.

h2oman- take Calvin to the bathtub and play submarine with him? My grandfather had a similar phrase- “If you were born twins, I’d’a drowned you both!” The laugh was on him when my cousin actually had twins.

It’s so hard to imagine Dad in his youth…. as anyone but a grouchy workaholic…. I guess it’d be the same for Calvin.

Isn’t the fact that “Party Naked” is on an article of clothing a bit paradoxical?

Well, “Party Naked”?

We know Calvin got his imagination from both Mom and Dad. Like recently, when Hobbes was lost out in the woods and Mom was calling for him to come, or that Sunday when Dad explained about color pictures.

what did dad do to get on Calvin’s bad side? Or have they just never gotten along?

For Dad, it’s not meant for him to heed, it’s a request of the fairer sex. NO ONE wants to see guys partying naked!

There are some things you should keep out of reach of children. Alcohol, medicine, cleaners…and yearbooks.

Dad needs to find a better hiding spot for that stuff.

I feel sorry for calvin’s dad.He would be a good guy,just that him & his wife are second carecters-only reacting to calvin.Also,calvins dad seems like his coolness has wore down over the years

i think later calvin looks at dad’s yearbook again and sees him dancing with his mom and calls his mom a bimbo.

how can you feel sorry for dad i’m sure calvin would be much nicer dad was less boring and more like how he used to be!

Man, dad’s reflexes are still good. The way he snatched the yearbook it would seem that the subsequent pages have some more skeletons hidden.

Anybody that ever wore a TShirt that had “naked” on it was a nerdly bleeep and most likely never got laid.
