    The female lion is the hunter; the males are the bullies.

    Tigers are much more solitary, and so less distinct in habits.

    Of course, we could get all psychoanalytical on Hobbes as a manifestation of Calvin’s subconscious and examine the conflict between his agression towards Susie and Hobbes’ affection for her, noting that the affection is what won out here. **But that would be overdoing it, right?

    I like Hobbes’ throw-away line in the last frame, “go soak your head.” For some reason, it cracks me up.
