That $1200 (which we finally received this last week) was basically a slap in the face.
On the other hand, as far as I’m concerned “professional sports” is a cancer that we could excise with no sorrow on my part. I’m perfectly in favor of playing sports, just not paying professionals insane amounts of money to play on our behalf.
f you look at how the world dealt with TB —you can see through all the optimistic chicken manure they are peddling to us to keep us docile and optimistic. TB treatment drugs did not appear until the late 40’s. Even so it kills 1.5 million people per year. Take your first clue from there.
When will we see a vaccine for covid-19? Let me know when there are vaccines for HIV, Malaria, and TB. Believe you me, they’ve been looking hard since Hector was a pup.
Overseas they infect people with the BCG virus, which gives around 20% TB protection for up to 20 years in babes. Seconds don’t help much and it screws up a skin test. Covid-19 hasn’t even got that.
Pharmaceuticals? They all illustrate the old saw that every drug can be medicine or poison. The first line was-and is – INH. You have to be careful not to trash the liver with INH. Ethambutol? Watch out for blindness. PZA is another way to trash your liver if you aren’t careful.
Currently with covid-19 they are using immune modulators to deal with lethal cytokine storms. Screwing around with immune modulators? You screw up and you’re better off wearing a blue bandanna on Crips turf. It would be cheaper, faster and less painful.
Why am I telling you this? SOMEBODY has to. Otherwise you’re liable to sell the danger of covid-19 infection short and go get a f*cking haircut.
Love baseball…. haven’t been to a game in years…. couple of reasons…. my son is not yet interested…. AND last time I went with my wife, it was a $150 day for discounted seats…. I’ve lived long enough to remember $2 bleacher seats at Dodger Stadium and $1 Dodger dogs…. a lot more comfortable and cheaper now to sit on the couch and drink craft beer at home….
But those owners might go broke if baseball doesn’t open up soon. Then they’d have to sell all those ultra rare baseball cards with the owners on them so they could get to keep their bizjets and their Maybach GLS.
One of the first groups to be called non-essential.. and yet they get paid “way” more than the real essential workers.. funny how that works. This COVID-19 has exposed any number of topsy turvey American idiosyncrasies.

Baseball, it’s as American as heavily armed protesters, outside and in, of various statehouses.
