I just don’t get Miller. He comes from a Jewish family and his great grandfather came here from Eastern Europe to escape anti-Semitic persecution. So what caused him to become one of the worst Nazis in the country?

It takes a great deal of effort and personal sacrifice to distinguish oneself as a master in their profession/position, adding significant value/knowledge, … or one can cheat by merely demeaning others which adds no real value/knowledge.
