Obi-Wan Kenobi: Mos Eisley spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Luke Skywalker: Hey, look, Huffington Post HQ!
well, there ya go…
is the HQ for Huffington Post in Washington DC?
Well, now we have no doubt about their politics. I would have said, “Look the EIB Network HQ!”
And there’s the Heritage Foundation Office way way way off to the right there…..
Punaman…. no, and that’s what’s confusing me….Huffpost has its problems but I would have thought they’d say something more like EID too.
This might have more to do with the blogger lawsuit than left-right politics.
2008 Huffington: “I’ll never sell you guys out for corporate money.”
2011 Huffington: “I’m selling you guys out for really, really big corporate money.”
Even this foreigner thinks that this is funny!
I don’t get it. I know the line from Star Wars, but what’s that got to do with Huffington Post. Are they saying that HP HQ is such a hive? That doesn’t seem very funny.
I’m sure you meant to say Fox News.
Not that I don’t agree with the sentiment, but shouldn’t this be in the editorial page?
Maybe it’s a test to see how many knee-jerk reactions they would get from this?
Now THAT’S funny!
Everyone is assuming its about politics, but don’t forget Huffpo has a pretty bad reputation for building much of its traffic on the work of unpaid bloggers, as well as editorially becoming essentially an online version of a supermarket tabloid in recent years.
There are no actual scum or villainy at the Huffington Post HQ, but there are links to scum and villainy at other spaceports.
This might be more funny if I was familiar with what the Huffington Post is.
If this strip is going to be continue to depend on references to Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc., that is totally cool, but I am not going to get it. I don’t have those scripts memorized—and Star Wars was a long time ago.
Another crack like that and you’re flying Solo.
FOX News is right next door!
Karl Rove and his bunch of scum
Half a Guinness. Now THAT’S funny !! Way to stout the day.
